*Head Start Positions for Fall 2026*
All Head Start positions start at $15.70 an hour. Teacher and Teacher Aide starting pay is based on education, $15.70-$23.05 
 
Head Start Teacher in Charleston- Full-time 08-17-2026
2-year Early Childhood degree required. Experience working with preschool children preferred. Will supervise center staff. Must be able to communicate with other staff in the classroom and willing to help others.
 
Head Start Classroom Aide in Paris- Part-time (20hrs/week) 06-16-2026
Will work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist children who need accommodations and in the classroom.  Other duties as assigned.
 
Head Start Classroom Aide/Bus Aide in Chrisman- Part-time (24hrs/week) 06-16-2026
Will work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist children who need accommodations and in the classroom. This person will ride the bus to assist with pick up and delivery of children to designated locations, assumes responsibility for the children’s safety on the bus. Must have the ability to assist the children to buckle their restraint system, fill out paperwork as necessary, make sure the children are safely turned over to their parent/guardian, check the bus to make sure it is empty, keep in contact with the Center if the need arises, and be able to keep the children quiet. Other duties as assigned. 
 
Head Start Classroom Aide/Bus Aide in Charleston- Full-time 06-16-2026

Edgar County (Paris) Outreach Worker – Full-Time $16.00/hour  08-21-2026 
Position involves intake for multiple service delivery programs as well as working directly with customers on individualized service plans to accomplish self-sufficiency. Additionally, position supervises Outreach Worker Assistant and volunteers. Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of Social Service experience is preferred.
 
Jasper County (Newton) Assistant Outreach Worker – Part-Time $15.00/hour  08-18-2026 
Position involves intake for multiple service delivery programs as well as working directly with customers on individualized service plans to accomplish self-sufficiency. Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of Social Service experience is preferred.
 
Coles East (Charleston) Assistant Outreach Worker – Part-Time $15.00/hour 08-18-2026
Position involves intake for multiple service delivery programs as well as working directly with customers on individualized service plans to accomplish self-sufficiency. Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of Social Service experience is preferred.
 
Coles West (Mattoon) Receptionist – Part-Time $15.00/hour 08-18-2026
Position involves answering phones, making appointments, copying documents, and greeting customers.
